![]() After the tenth hole it's more than an inch off the surface of the material. After the first hole, it retracts up about an 1/8" too far, then goes down and tries to drill from that relative spot, and it repeats this sequence, drilling open air as it steps higher and higher up the z-axis after each drilling motion. ![]() The initial operations of the part go fine, but when the CNC starts drilling the holes, something goes wrong. I am making a part that includes, among other things, the drilling of a simple series of drill holes.
